OWIN seeks to not only provide services and support to young orphans and widows, but also motivate, inspire and uplift them to self-sufficiency and reignite their self-esteem through spiritual enrichment. Since OWIN began work in 2005, it has served over 5,000 orphans and widows.
In an effort to reduce poverty and build social capital, OWIN has committed to aiding individuals in developing vocational skills. We have helped women support themselves and their families by teaching them trades including sewing, jewelry making, and soap production.
OWIN assists widows in turning their skills into businesses by helping them obtain direct financial support or loans to foster their entrepreneurial endeavors.
OWIN works to help orphans and widows get and stay healthy by providing medical care, medicine, healthy food and health education.
