Mr. Asomugha is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of The Inkwell Group, an innovative private equity firm advancing middle market companies. Prior to founding The Inkwell Group Mr. Asomugha served as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Corporate Strategy for a large multi-national industrial firm. Previously he was a principal investor at Cyprium Partners, a leading middle-market private equity firm. Prior to joining Cyprium, Mr. Asomugha worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Investment Banking division. While at Goldman, he was actively involved in the advisory and execution of cross-border acquisitions and M&A transactions.

From 2007 to 2008, Mr. Asomugha served as an International Development Fellow focusing on economic development and private equity in emerging markets, specifically sub-Saharan Africa.

Mr. Asomugha previously served as a Mayoral Appointee to the Cleveland and Cuyahoga County Workforce Investment Board and is a founding board member of two urban charter schools in the Cleveland-area. Mr. Asomugha was recognized by Crain’s Business as a 40 under 40 awardee and by Inside Business Magazine as a 25 under 35 awardee. Mr. Asomugha received his B.A. with a double major in Economics and Public Policy from Stanford University and his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, where he was a Robert Toigo Fellow.
