On Saturday, October 10, 2015, ACTS Founder Nnamdi Asomugha and Olympic Gold Medalist Allyson Felix co-hosted the 2015 ACTS College Summit for high school juniors and seniors at the Foundation Center in Los Angeles, CA. The free, half-day summit welcomed over 400 students who were treated to a day of enriching college readiness programming. The day provided students with a fun, and engaging environment to learn more about the college process, while hearing from experts and peers alike. Attendees were able to select from a robust menu of breakout sessions, addressing important topics such as ‘Making Your College Applications and Essays Stand Out From the Rest,’ ‘What You Can Do Now to Get Into Your Dream College,’ and ‘Everything You Need to Know About Financial Aid,’ among others. After the breakout sessions concluded, students were able to browse a college fair, attended by representatives from top colleges and universities from throughout the country, and the state. Students were invited to ask questions, collect materials, and learn more about each school’s application process. This was the 2nd Annual ACTS College Summit.
